Cistanthe grandiflora

Growing in our busy rock garden... silver foliage in background is Gazania 'Talent'

Pink, cup-shaped flowers, and greyish green succulent leaves. Different.

We tried them in several areas of the garden. looked best on the edge of our rock garden. Should be grown in a sunny location.

We grew a bunch of these from seed in 2000. About 1/4 of the plants up and died once planted out in the garden, although the same plant right next to them was fine. Haven't figured out why.

Flower stems to about 16", spread of 10".

Glen's score:  7.
