Erect, slender growth habit, flowers many in an open panicle, white ray florets with yellow disk florets, flower head measured at 5 mm long and 3 mm wide. Lower leaves spatulate, leaves mid and upper stem are linear, alternate, hairy margins, leaf highlighted in above photo was 5 cm long and 3 mm wide. Stems pubescent with long hairs.

Annual, native weed, habitat is dry soil. Common.

Height listed in Budd's Flora to 100 cm, we measured plants to 49 cm tall.

Above photos taken in August 6th, sandy roadside, about 450 km north east of our home in Regina, SK.

Synonym: most field guides list this plant under its old name Erigeron canadensis.
