Glycyrrhiza lepidota - photos and description
15 cm ruler for scale
Erect branching growth habit. Flowers are yellowish-white in
a dense raceme, raceme measured at 14 cm long and flower at 14
mm long. Leaves are pinnate, we counted up to 21 leaflets. Leaflets
oblong, typical leaflet measured at 3 cm long and 8 mm wide. Lower
stems red coloured. Stems and bottom of leaflets pubescent, top
of leaflets with a few hairs.
habitat is edges of woodlands on soil with good moisture, and moist prairie.. Common.
Height listed in Budd's Flora to 100 cm. We measured plants to 73 cm tall.
