Rubus pubescens - photos and description

Saskatchewan's Wildflowers

Slender, erect perennial, leaves pinnate with three leaflets, obovate, serrate, leaflet with petiole measured at 5 cm long x 3 cm wide. Flowers white, grow singly or in pairs, flower measured at 1 cm diameter. Leaf top and bottoms, and plant stems all pubescent. 

Stems listed in Flora of Alberta to 1 m long, we measured plants to 17 cm tall.

Habitat is rich, moist woods. Common.

Took the above photos June 15th along a trail in wet mixed woods, boreal forest, north west of Hudson Bay, about 450 km northeast of our home in Regina, SK.
