







Stemless violet with white flowers, with the lower lip with red stripes, petals all beardless. Flowers 11 mm wide, spur 3 mm long, spur petal 9 mm long. Scapes at or below the level of the leaves. Petioles and undersides of leaves with a few hairs. Leaves reniform to orbicular, crenate-serate, typical length 2.5 cm, width 4 cm. Leaves blunt-tipped.
Plant has no runners above ground.
Habitat is wet woods and bogs. Checklist of the Vascular Plants of Saskatchewan lists the plant as common.
