Polemonium pulcherrimum

Compact growth habit makes this a useful plant in our rock garden. We have these growing in spots that get shade at least half the day. Plae blue flowers just under 1 cm in diameter. Plant in above photo was in its 2nd year in our garden. Seems easy to grow.

Smaller, less floppy plant than the more commonly grown Polemonium caeruleum.

Height to 25 cm.

I've found reference book listing it hardy to zone 4, hardier than that I think, native to Alaska and Yukon.

Glen's score:  7.
