Allium christophii

Very showy Allium, with very large flower umbel (up to 20 cm across) with as many as 100 star-shaped flowers. Flowers are reddish-purple in colour.

Easy to grow, best in full sun. Blooms in late June here in zone 3.

Fairly easy to start indoors from seed, too.

Hardy to zone 4.  

Height 45 cm, spread 20cm.
