Leathery evergreen leaves are distinguishing feature of this perennial. Pink blooms in spring.

We grow them in partial shade, tolerant of some sun.  Foliage grows to about 10" tall, flower spikes to 18".

If you have slugs in your garden, check under the leaves of this plant for a slug hangout.
