Dark purple-blue flowers cover this plant's leaves when in full bloom. The effect is a mass of colour against your trellis.

Blooms on new wood, which makes it ideal for cold climates - there is no need to protect the old growth over winter.  Each spring, we cut this vine back to about 10 inches from the ground.

Hardy zone 3.

Height is 10 feet, spread of about 4 feet.
