Coreopsis verticillata 'Moonbeam'

Long blooming plants for sunny a position in your perennial garden. Typical flower colour is yellow.

Height for 'Golden Showers' is 24", blooms are golden yellow, and is a vigorous grower. Height for 'Moonbeam' is 18", blooms are an attractive pale yellow.

'Moonbeam' was the1992 Perennial Plant of the Year award winner from the Perennial Plant Association. Not a very long lived variety in our experience.

Blooms are about the size of a nickel on both varieties. We have them growing in full sun and in partial shade. Hardy zone 3.

Common names: Thread-leaved Coreopsis, and, Tickseed.

Note: many gardeners in Regina reported a terrible time in 1998 with Colorado Potato beetles eating all species of Coreopsis right to the ground if left unchecked.

Glen's score:  8.
