Dodecatheon meadia

Unique looking blooms are distinguishing feature of this plant.  Blooms appear late May, early June in our garden.

Foliage forms a low rosette, flower spikes reach 12" tall.

We treat this plant as a woodland perennial - partial shade, humus-rich soil, do not let it get too dry. Our plants have given us a few seedlings over the years.

Hardy to zone 2.

Glen's score:  7.
