We grow this for its golden yellow foliage, brightens up a shady border. For contrast, we have it growing next to purple-leaved plants such as the Heuchera in the bottom photo.
New foliage is distinctly yellow (as in bottom photo), older foliage changes to a greenish-yellow as in top-left photo.
Foliage susceptible to burning - we have it growing in shade, and don't let it dry out.
White flower plumes appear in July, but aren't anything very special in my opinion.
Hardy zone 3.
Grows to about 36" in height, and spread of 20".
