Tall plant with large leaves and pink flowers arranged in whorls about the stems. Blooms appear in early July.
We've grown this in full sun, and have moved it to a very shady corner of our yard where it provides some height at the back of the border. Doesn't require staking in our garden, which helps. Nothing very special about this plant other than its size, I suppose.
Hardy zone 3. I know of a number of people who grow this in Saskatchewan, I believe this plant to be quite a bit hardier than the zone 5 hardiness rating I see in most reference books.
Grows to about 5' tall, needs lots of room - spread of 36".
Glen's score: 5.
