Mauve flower umbels in spring (blooms in early May here in zone 3). We grow them in the shade in soil rich in organic matter.
An easy to grow plant that provides good colour in spring.
One problem with P. denticulata, they are so early blooming that late spring frosts will kill the blooms on the plants, especially in low, frost prone spots in the garden.
Height of flowering stem to 25 cm, spread 20 cm.
Hardy to zone 2.
