Perennial for the shade garden, which we like for its attractive foliage.  Fluffy white flower plumes similar to Astilbe appear in summer.  Takes 2-3 years to settle in before blooming for the first time, add at least one more year if it is a 1st year seedling.

Best grown in rich, moist soil.

The foliage grows about 18" tall for us. Will eventually form a clump 3 feet wide.
